How Caption Hero Works

  1. Tap Add video and choose a clip from your photo library.
  2. Tap STT, choose the spoken language, and transcribe the speech.
  3. Edit subtitles line by line, split or merge captions, and adjust timing.
  4. Use Style to change fonts, colors, size, and caption position.
  5. Export to save a video with subtitles burned into the file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Caption Hero works without sign-in.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. Your videos, audio, and subtitle text are processed on your device.

Why do I see an ad before exporting?

Caption Hero is free and supported by rewarded ads. Each export requires a completed rewarded ad. There is no subscription and no watermark.

Export says I need to connect to the internet.

Exporting requires an internet connection so a rewarded ad can load and be verified. Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data, then try again.

The transcription used the wrong language.

Open STT, search for the spoken language in the video, select it, and transcribe again. Caption Hero remembers your choice.

Transcription seems slow.

Longer videos can take more time. Keep the app in the foreground while subtitles are generated.
